Together, expanding our staff to include full and part-time staff of diverse backgrounds to better reach students in these communities. This includes going into communities of kids that are hard to reach through traditional means or find themselves outside of the typical teenage world.

Goal is to raise $20,000 in 2020-2021, including $7,500 matching funds for Operating and $5,000 for Camp

  • Currently averaging 65 students at club on Monday nights
  • Goal of 30 kids and leaders to summer camp

Capernaum Expansion

Reaching teenagers and YOung adults with special needs

$30,000 financial need remaining for 2020-2021

  • New start-up in Clay County
  • Working to establish a permanent Capernaum Board
  • Working with St. Augustine board to develop a long-term plan for Florida School for the Deaf and Blind
  • Capernaum Club in Jacksonville is the healthiest it has ever been. 54 students and 35 high school buddies participate!

Oakleaf Multi-Ethnic Ministry

Creating a pipEline for staff of diverse ethnic backgrounds to reach a growing population

NEW HIRE: Samantha Mayo in Southside Jacksonville

  • DFL staff are between the ages of 20 and 28 and enroll in a two-year, part-time national training program
  • Robert Morris and Tameka Richardson are spear-heading this initiative in coordination with the national DFL program and the Catholic Initiative
