The first Young Life club in Northeast Florida began at Lee High School in 1958. Called the "Best Deal Club," it officially became known as Young Life in 1960 under the leadership of Area Director Charlie Scott. Young Life continues to have a presence at Lee High School led by Area Director Ed Ross.
Since 1941, Young Life leaders have walked with kids and earned the right to be heard in an exhausting and exciting world. Nearly 2,900 kids are reached every month in Northeast Florida, and the number is growing.
Today, Young Life is a global organization with a local focus. Six counties in Northeast Florida operate 40+ programs each month. Our Northeast Florida Health and Growth Campaign aims to increase that number.
In 2019, area staff and leaders took over 400 kids to camp. Whether at a school-year weekend retreat or week-long summer camp, kids of all backgrounds heard the Good News of Christ while making lasting memories with their friends.
Volunteer your time to work directly with young people.
Support the staff and leaders as part of the local adult committee.
Give resources to start or sustain the financial foundation at the local or national level.
